Here is the best of four Half Cents recovered from the same site. The others are two 1809s and an 1804. I understand most of these are restrikes and therefore do not typically show great detail? If that is so, then I'm pleased with this one.

When lost over 200 years ago, we were probably looking at a F-VF coin but being in the ground with the moisture and acidity, has caused it to corrode pretty severe thus the current state.

I would love to find one of those metal detecting! The only coin I ever found before my detector broke was a 1972 Jefferson nickel lol
