I have this coin but do not know exactly what it is. The previous owner attributes it to the Sur Empire of India, 1538-1545 (which would make it more of a medieval coin). The ruler being Sher Shah Suri, the Lion King. The writing for the denomination is pretty bad, but I think it says AR Tanka.

There seems to be a chop mark one side. The edges do not have a seam or any filing. But given I can't really find the design that is around the outside of the text on any other coins I wouldn't be surprised if it was mislabeled, or even some copy.

It's not Surid, it's from the Bengal Sultanate.
