What would your choice be if you only had $100 to spend? I'm interested to hear everyones opinions and to see the different choices. Thanks!!

I agree. I would cherry pick a well struck and great-for-the-grade MS64 Morgan. Certified PCGS/NGC, of course.

Higher grade junk silver bought for spot.
You have the conditional cushion as well as the PM potential for increased return on your investment.

A RedBook, both cherrypickers guides, and a PCGS coinfacts subscription for a few months. Alternatively, a RedBook and an overton guide.

For $100 the best "investment" in coins would be one that furthers your knowledge. "Buy the Book", may be my epitaph......

I would have to agree with the "books of knowledge", it can help prevent you from making more costly mistakes further down the road.

For knowledge: Both Cherry Pickers guides Loupe (if you don't have one) A book on your favorite series If you have a smart phone, the FREEEEEE PCGS Price Guides and Photograde apps. Excellent apps, even if the price guide one crashes all the time. Annoying, but useful.
For fun: Junk silver, especially SLQ and Merc Dimes. Never know what you'll find.....1916 SLQ prehaps? It has happened more than you think.
Pure investment: PCGS graded, CAC certified MS64 Morgan. Yes, they CAN be found. You just have to be quick.

I suggest you look up where there are any coin shows in your area. Go to some and just look around. May find something YOU like.

A box of nics. There's plenty to find & occasionally includes 2 or 3 (super-lucky, even 4) series. It's time invested wisely, edu. speaking, but it wont make you rich.

My admiration to those who preached education first. Then, the second $100 investment will be be based on knowledge.

Since you're saying investment, I would say American Silver Eagles.

I appreciate the opinions. I am asking to see the diversity of opinions, not because I dont know what to buy...or that I dont already have a massive research library...but iI agree that education is the best investment you can make.
