Plucked this out of a British junk lot of copper coins, recognised it but didn't realise there were so many varieties of these - can someone in the know attribute this?

I can't help with the attribution, but that is a very nice piece for a junk lot find.

I'll go along with Miller 5-F.5. How'd this ever end up in a British junk lot?

We have so many coins from this period that no-one takes a second look at them. I guess a collection was pawned off and everything thrown into a big pile.

How much are these things worth, anyway? Might be worth looking out for.

I guess at a quick glance these are easily mistaken for British half pennies and in this condition would be next to worthless. Any idea as to worth in this condition? ebay final realised prices seem to vary quite a lot so its difficult to get an idea? Value seems to start at $40-50

This one has great details and is an R4 ( not enough variety collectors for this to have a huge premium....imo) but that face scratch is deep.... I would go $50 -$75.
