Hi everyone, thought I'd share some pictures of my recently acquired polymer notes, all uncirculated. There's $390 in fives in the pics. Unfortunately the stack isn't from one bundle, and consists of 4 different serial-number ranges. Now my question is: Does anyone know what the tiny number on the bottom right corner represents? In this pic it is a tiny number 7. I noticed it appears on both sides of the bill, and the number itself varies most notes. Thanks!

The small number 07 is the plate number. I think it's to tell which plate is used to print the note. Senior members, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Forgot to add.. prior to the polymer series the FPN and BPN used to be two different numbers... The great thing about this series is that the FPN and BPN are now always the same number...

I know for a fact they're on all the bills from the Birds series on... can't remember if they have the plate numbers for the multicoloured or anything earlier..I will have a look at my notes tonight and see..

Cool! Thanks for the info.
Several of the bills in my pile have different plate numbers.
Which makes sense because you can see slight differences in colour shading when I stack all the bills together.

@torgemco
In my stack I have the following plate numbers: 2, 3, 6, 7, 43
Why do you ask? Any significance to these plates?

In today's printing world these numbers denote the position of the banknote in the sheet of 45 notes.
Although the Plate Number terminology has continued it is more correctly a Position Number.
In most recent instances the Canadian Bank Notes are printed 45 to a sheet. So there are 45 positions on the sheet. Each position is given a number. A combination of the position number and the prefix/serial number tells the Bank exactly the sheet and position the note came from.

NewColect-Thats a great bundle you got there..even better with different Prefix's..Our shared knowledge here has us knowing each bundle "Jumps around,with serial numbers"..So some collecters will be happy as they may get a higher than normal ammount of Radars and Specials-Other sad as they got dismal results in their bundle..Hope you get a radar, but yours is good if more UNC prefix's(Hopefully You are collecting by prefix)...
