Hello to all,
I have never done this before. What type of payment is it for the buyers? Is it up to the seller and buyer to decide together or is there a specific system?

I have had my 90 days, and 250 post. I too would like the heavy lifters to chime in.

What is the way ... for all parties?

Usually buyer pay with and sellers prefer Paypal (Gift or Regular +3%). It's up to the sellers discretion which way the prefer to be paid buy Paypal works for pretty much everyone. All sales are only made on CCF per say. Once a member wins a listing they have to directly contact you to discuss payment and shipping options.

Okay. Since I am not familiar with Paypal...

Do I simply make an account with Paypal and use the "sending money to someone" option in order to do the transaction? Or is there a better future on Paypal?
Also, how much does Paypal charge per transaction, for both parties (buyer and seller)?

I personally would like to start my first online transactions here, since I have already familiarized myself with the members here. For ebay, I have had a few bad buying experiences and I feel like people rely on the feedback points too much, making them quite inflated (in the sense that one can actually pay money to buyers to buy feedback).

Thanks for all the support!

While PayPal is the most expeditious way of getting paid, but you could always accept checks or money orders as payment.

Respectfully, I think it is better for the seller to state the preferred method of payment.

Like personal check OK, etc., etc.

I guess Paypal is OK in general, but 3%(?) can be a little costly in 3 figure sales.

I think I pay about 3% to paypal when I sell something on ebay. I pay paypal zero if I spend money out of my Paypal account, or get cash sent to me. (Think they tack on a $1.50 charge to cut a check)

When you first start a Paypal account, They like to HOLD your funds for a while. (Getting established?) And I think you need to give a credit card. Giving my bank connection is a no-no for me.

You can take money out of Paypal ... but it is (time) limited at first. I like to have my Paypal balance near zero now that I am established.

Seller should state clearly in the listing what payment forms they accept. So as a buyer please read the entire description and be ready for what is expected. This is indeed what happens 99.99% of the time.

Domain 555,
So Paypal basically puts money into my credit card if I refuse to give them a bank connection? What types of funds do they hold? The money I receive from the buyer of something?

Paypal did not put money in my credit card. Paypal has your money.

You can spend your paypal money, or ask for check to be sent.

Keep in mind they are going to sit on your money for (some times) 3-4 weeks. (In the beginning)

Once you are established it goes much more quickly

A prime reason to join CCF is the trade-sell-buy opportunity right here, with your friends and cut out (fair and square-No cheating anyone) the 10% ebay fee.

IMHO ebay fees on notes and coins should be LOWER

Unfortunately the sell market at CCF has not taken off. IMHO
I have bought from members knowing their history and have not been disappointed.
One of the reasons I believe for lack of posting is the limited amount of exposure. Why sell when you can make bigger buck on the other side?
I wonder what Bobby131313 ForumDad has to say.

Sorry, for the add on question.

Posting? ... are you talking about the small number of coins for sale on CCF?

A bigger buck on the other side? ... other side of what? ebay? Those are the guys with their 10% hands in your pockets. (and the 3% paypal fees?)

I am so confused

Rest in Peace

Does CCF itself charge certain fees? Or is it just Paypal fees that I must deal with if I choose to sell here?
