That was a good buy. I use to see these selling for $3 or higher.

I love the off center coins. If the date had shown, then the coin would have cost more. You should show this coin to your friends who are not collectors. Most non collectors really get a kick out of off centers because they didn't even know that they existed.

Those come in many languages! I have them in cents, and in Mexican coinage. They, along with the doubled dies, die cracks Cuds, etc, amke for an interesting collection of "odd-balls". Dick

You are right living dinosaur, I collect any errors I can , But what I like about some world coins is a coin struck on another, When you can still see remnants of the old die design

How do coins that are that off-center make it into circulation? Wouldn't they have to have been rolled at one point or another?

they come in the bags. they don't fit a roll but fit nicely in the bag. that is where I find some of my best finds. just order bags instead of rolls from the mint. I find maybe one error in 2-3 bags

How do you order mint bags? How much does it cost over face value?

for the cents I am not sure. I have ordered the quarters Halves and the nickels. but I think if you know a banker you may be able to order a bag f cents. I'm not sure. I have heard of it happening but I have not done it. the off centers will not fit in a rolling machine "most of the time" so they end up in the scrap pile but when they are just bagging I don't think they get inspected as much cause they fit with no problem. as for cost. I was getting the $25.00 bags and I think I was paying around $50.00 shipped. I know it is double or better but if you can find that one coin that everyone is looking for it pays for itself. Gary
