I've got a couple of 1878-S Morgans which appear to be "Deep-Mirror".... All are MS business strikes with some bag marks, etc., none are proof. Anyway, I took some pictures to try and capture some of the mirrored surface. Sorry they aren't the best.....
The first one shows the obverse on a sheet of paper with five black lines spaced one inch apart. All are clearly reflected, the last one on the top of the coin being 5 inches away. I've also included some other pics showing the reverse and other angles.
So, what do you think? "Deep Mirror" or not? Thanks in advance for any input!
Rick

*edit: BTW, the coin is leaning up against a piece of glass which is why the lines are also reflected behind it.....
