Bottleguy Valued Member United States 112 Posts	Posted 08/01/2007 11:30 pm I've got a couple of 1878-S Morgans which appear to be "Deep-Mirror".... All are MS business strikes with some bag marks, etc., none are proof. Anyway, I took some pictures to try and capture some of the mirrored surface. Sorry they aren't the best..... The first one shows the obverse on a sheet of paper with five black lines spaced one inch apart. All are clearly reflected, the last one on the top of the coin being 5 inches away. I've also included some other pics showing the reverse and other angles. So, what do you think? "Deep Mirror" or not? Thanks in advance for any input! Bryan1315 Bedrock of the Community United States 14454 Posts	Posted 08/01/2007 11:43 pm I think PCGS calls a coin DMPL if you can hold it8 inches away from a business card and read the regular sized font in the coin. I am not 100% sure but I think they raised it and not sure if it was 8 inches they raised it to or 8 inches they raised it from Report this Post to the Staff
