Another junk box refugee. I was scanning it for the "how far back can we go" when I realized it was a fairly good date. I saw where one in similar condition had been sold at auction for 60 euros.

In hand, you can read the 6 and K faintly.

I would appreciate your thoughts as to value.

Oldest Junkbox refugee I've ever found was a 1726 1/2 Ecu. There were a few ottomans that were slightly older but all were badly holed and dented.

I'd grade this one PO-1, not a $60 coin as it's not very desirable in this grade. VF's go around $150. I'd say maybe $20 to the right buyer.

My oldest find was this 1640 French Double Tournois.

Arkie, that is a nice find and a type coin that I like a lot for some reason.
The Baden 6 Kreuzer 1819, and more so the 1820 are quite scarce coins but in my opinion, only in high grades. The coins circulated heavily and anything above VF (german grades ss+ and above) is scarce and priced accordingly. Also, they were not struck very well to start with with mostly flat details.
Since you are asking about the value of the coin you have in hand, I would estimate it at approx. 20-25 euros.
