Received a US Mint catalog in the mail yesterday and it included a "Coming Soon" mention of the Young Collectors Set for the Baseball HOF coins. I had read about the YC Set a couple of months ago, but this is the first time I've seen the Mint advertise it. It's not on the Mint web site as of yet. I plan to pick up a couple (as I do for all such special commemorative sets!) The catalog must have been printed awhile back as it still listed the HoF silver dollars as being available and they were sold out a few weeks ago. Collecting history one coin or medal at a time! Your amazing collection of all things commemorative related continues to inspire and educate.
Looking forward commems to anything you might choose to post once this YN set is in hand.

The Mint has finally posted pricing info about the Young Collectors set - $24.95. Its availability date remains July 28th. It appears the set has a novel new feature (vs. previous YC sets). From the Mint's description: "This set contains a National Baseball Hall of Fame Uncirculated Clad Half-Dollar enclosed in a special rotating capsule!" I know that I'll be picking up a set or two. Anyone else?

I might have to get one for my son. The rotating capsule would get his attention.

In and out on the Mint web site in four minutes (including printing my order confirmation). Must not have been many folks queued up to order the YC Set.

Received my order today. The packaging is nicely done and the rotating coin is a very nice feature - a definite attention grabber. It might become a "standard" feature on future YC sets.

Sales have not been strong for this set. Just 22,650 out of a maximum of 50,000 have been sold thus far.
The Mint's web site indicates "limited" stock remains which might indicate that they only made up about 25,000 of the sets and will discontinue sales once the already-produced inventory is sold out.
If you wanted one of these sets but were holding off buying one, it might be time to visit the Mint's site and place your order!

I won't be surprised if this is a sleeper set.

Proof and uncirculated don't count towards the same bucket.
Also... where did you get 400k? The mintage limit of both the proof and UNC halves is 750k, according to the U.S. Mint web site.
