Anyone plan on using a Baseball HOF coin as a pocket piece?

I would be curious as to how the curved design would feel in your pocket and the unusual wear pattern it would develop.

If they still weren't so expensive compared to other modern issues I would be all over the silver dollar for a pocket piece.

I also think it would be an interesting coin to pull out and share with people when the situation arose.

Not me! I carry a 1927 Peace dollar and a bronze 1976 US National Bicentennial medal in my pocket. That's plenty!

Would be happy to watch the steady progress (deterioration?) of your half dollar, however, as you post monthly images here on CCF.

My pocket piece is our club medal overstruck on a Peace dollar. Unfortunately the design does not lend itself to show obvious signs wear but it fell out of my pocket once and the reverse rims sustained some serious scrape marks and it fell out my pocket at the bank picking up boxes of halves and the obverse sustained a few rim bumps.

When I misplace it I carried an Ellis Island dollar for a month or 2 until I found it again.

I have been keeping it in a pocket all by itself but maybe I need to introduce and agitator to it to speed up the wear since I spend most of the day sitting at my desk. Unfortunately I can't find the pics from 3 years ago before it got beat up. It is also interesting how is has toned purple and golden brown around the devices while beign used daily VS sitting in a box or safe.

If I threw an HOF into the mix I would want it to stay strictly silver on silver crime. If anyone wants to donate their silver dollar to the cause
