Im befuffudled!! I'm sure this has been asked before but..
Why do some coins have a sharper perhaps deeper rim? Not Dryer Coin rim almost like a very well struck coin? I rummage and pick through coins and mint sets and some just seem like that have sharper better rims

I think I read where some dates were struck with more pressure, maybe that's part of it. The Pros will know....

1973 is a classic example of this. The most pressure was used that year and it has nice rims.
