I love chocolate, especially in early copper coins. I tend to prefer an even milk chocolate appearance, but they are not easily found. This one (AU 58 CAC) actually has a somewhat pumpkin coloration, but it is a favorite: On the other hand, here's a rich dark chocolate smooth operator with some a creamy swirl and blue tinges intermixed (MS 64+ CAC): So, if you collect any early copper, what appearance do you prefer? Post a pic if you'd like - any grade is fine!

I don't have much early copper. Only 2 Large Cents, G-6 and VG-10. But I definitely prefer that even red-patina, just like the one you've shown (Never heard the word pumpkin used before lol).

Well, it is more orange than red, that's for sure!

You should resubmit that brown Half Cent because the price difference between MS64+ and MS65 is substantial! Not only that, with the plus, we know it's on the brink of reaching 65. I prefer the milky-chocolate because I can appreciate details more. I don't own any Half Cents and own only two large cents, so I can't really tell you with confidence.

Both look great, but I'm liking that blue-ish tone on the second one.

OK, a bit of a cheat as neither a US coin, nor copper(!) Another instance of me clicking on an interesting thread title before looking what section it's in! But since we already have an actual chocolate coin and this one does have a nice chocolatey colour in the hand, hopefully it can play too? A British shilling from the reign of Charles I issued 1626-27. Oh, and milk please.

Huh, it's hard to pick which coin I like from the OP pictures.
Maybe the first one?
