Got this at a great price. It has really nice cartwheel luster, and a few marks that are incredibly magnified...not so visible in hand.

Cracked out of a new PCGS holder for my type set, and upgraded from a nice AU55 example that I sold to a forum member.

I say 62. Its a beauty! And you know I love seeing all these.

Looks similar to my 63 but has a few more marks.

Edit- heck maybe its a 63 but i'd go more for 62.

I'm not too familiar with $2.5 Indian Head Quarter Eagles. Don't own one and don't see them for grading much, I'm guessing low MS, maybe 62 or 63?

The obverse is fine. On the reverse:

the circled area shows the wear first.
Probably got a MS-61.

To own one is to love it.
To own all four, Indians and St. Gaudens, is to bask
in the nicest type set that there is.
I like mine. Enjoy yours.

I'd grade this beautiful gold Indian MS-60.

Even though I don't have much experience grading gold coins, to me it looks a tad too worn for any grade higher than what I guessed.

Sigh...PCGS graded it MS63. There is no wear on the coin(weak strike), and my camera tends to highlight every mark and exaggerate it way beyond what it looks like in hand. Thanks for your inputs.

Tell you what, you can ship it to me and I will grade it MS63 in hand.
