In my opinion NMM is easier to type than no mint mark, or just leave it as date only ;)

Nice grab on the '68-D, nice pre-war finds, too bad about no silver nickels but there is always next time

Not bad for your second go around. Come back a year later and look at your 2nd attempt and see what you think then! I guarantee you'll have at least 50 attempts better than this one, which is a good thing. Keep on trucking!!

@Maselyk

When dealing with halves. You have to be prepared to keep on going even if you get skunked with 2 to 6 boxes. Eventually you'll hit the mother lode!! Yes it stinks when you don't find anything, but sometimes you find 12 silvers in one box up to 50+ silvers in one box. The latter is rare but I've had quite a few of those. It really is a crap-shoot with halves! a feast or famine if you will. Good luck

Wish the banks around here would have that many loose halves laying around. Nice finds.

Thanks guys! just bought an album to fill up with nickels from 1938-1961, so I'll be filling that with what I found, and I will be going back to the bank to get more! :)

Switch it up.

My best scores have been from my first box of each denomination (except for my MONSTER Walker and Franklin half box and 120 Wheat cent box which are one in a million down the road)

Mu first box of halve shad over 2040%ers and aStatue of Liberty commem.

My first box of nickels had an 1883 with cetns VF env. damaged.

Maselyk,

Just double checking: you are aware that 1940's and 1950's nickels with no mint marks are not unique or errors.

Mint marks for the Philadelphia Mint were added to Susan B. Anthony dollar in 1979, and were added to the nickel, dime, quarter, and half dollar in 1980.
