The ever present bane of nickel hunters existence! 1964 were made in 1965 as well. 2.8 billion of them!

Maybe, or maybe not.
1964 Jefferson were minted in terms of billions. They are very, very common coins and many are still found in circulation.
So unless they are in a pristine state of preservation, and are circulated, I'd guess that it was just coincidence.
The 1964 nickel is worth face value in anything under MS (and not much premium for MS either) either Philly or Denver, but nice find. :)

I do not know new member frodo well enough to judge if he/she is serious about this find ... or simply sharing a tongue-in-cheek moment.

There is nothing ... absolutely nothing ... to gain numismaticily from 1964 dated Jefferson in circulated grades.

I read once that the 1964 Jefferson was minted in such high quantities out of concern that dimes and quarters would be heavily hoarded when they were changed from silver to clad in 1965. Myth?

Out of curiosity why does everyone get mad when threads get bumped? I've noticed nickel finder bumped quite a few today. I saw some good threads I missed before and some of them even had a conversation start back up again!
Rest in Peace

Frodo; If I had a quarter for every 1964-D Jefferson I came in contact with , I'd be a millionaire . This is not meant to burst your bubble; but to strengthen
your quest into the hobby.

It is okay if fresh and relevant content is being added, but not when they are bumped without adding anything new. I will let everyone decide how this bump was perceived.
