Not sure if I'm putting this in the right forum. It's a '58 proof. I don't see any imperfections at all from the pictures. The values I've read online - it seems to be priced right. I don't think it's been cleaned or anything. You see anything out of whack? http://www.ebay.com/itm/310941750499?nav=SEARCH

Looks alright to me. The only bad thing with these Buy It Now auctions is you most likely won't be getting the coin photographed. They do offer a 14 day money back guarantee though, which is always nice if you get the coin and find that it didn't meet expectations.

The picture looks good to me BUT I bet it's NOT a picture of the coin you'll get.
The seller is offering more than 1 coin in that listing. But there's only a picture of one coin.
On the other hand he's got plenty of feedback with no apparent bad ones.

It has a PCGS number but the pic shown is a raw coin and it keeps saying uncirculated but it is a proof coin so John1

its legit. chances are he has a handful of these from proof sets and broke those sets up and is now selling. Unless you're a proof collector, you may want to shop for a mint state coin and compare prices, looks etc...

Quote: saying uncirculated but it is a proof Yes. A proof coin can certainly be circulated or uncirculated. That is simply a term defining whether the coin was used as money and shows wear/marks from it. So it applies to proof coins as well. I have plenty of circulated proofs I have found roll hunting. Quote: What about the PCGS number? Two very simple possibilities. One. He used a template and forgot to remove that. I do it all the time. Two, and the one I believe most likely. Is 6699 the number PCGS uses to identify proof Franklins? It is only a 4 digit number, so clearly is NOT the SN assigned to a graded coin. Scott, many dealers do this. I have plenty of ATB Quarters for sale in my store. I am NOT going to take a pic of each and every one and make a separate listing. That would be ridiculous. Same thing here. He has a good number of these coins, so he took a pic of one for the listing. Otherwise he would have to put up 8 listings for essentially the same coin. And pay 8 insertion fees etc etc. I have purchased from this seller before and liked the coins I received. No reason not to purchase this coin from them.

Looks like a nice proof to me. Here's the feedback from the first '58 proof sold: Quote: Very nice coin! Fast shipping too! Thank you very much! Good seller. A+++++++++

Nah, No need to be suspicious the PC GS four digit number is the designation for a 1958 Franklin half proof obviously he has multiples to sell and he's using the PC GS designated number as an identifier not trying to deceive anybody it looks completely legit based on past sales feedback

If that's what it ends up looking like in your gloved hand... I think it's gorgeous.

Yeah, I like it. I might just make Franklin prooves my first collection. Up to this point, all I've bought is random coins. Franklin prooves would be easy to get the full date set.
