And I think they all are worn to the point of missing mint marks. But I've gained a new appreciation between what I used to consider a "cull", and a true, honestly worn coin. I'm not planning on sending in anything, at least until I'm more familiar with it all, and have enough coins to grade to make it worthwhile. I think all the Peace dollars show no MM, but a few of the Morgans have date and MM. Report this Post to the Staff

nickelsearcher Moderator United States 15425 Posts	Posted 05/14/2014 6:58 pm Lovely coin that exhibits what is known as 'circulation cameo' ... whereby the dark fields contrast with the lighter legends/portraits to create a very pleasing visual contrast. I've always enjoyed that look ... and pleased that you own such an outstanding low-ball Peace. My experienced judgment is the coin likely grades FR02 ... the significant issue with the low-ball Peace is determining specific date/mm ... This is likely a 1922 (Philly) mint coin ... but 'proving' that the mint mark has not worn away is the bane of all low-ball collectors. Lovely coin ... Thanks for sharing.
