I have found this coin :
Turkey
1 zolota
AH1187 RY9
38mm
17,6grams
First toughra
Constantinopel mint
ruler : Abdul Hamit I

It should be billon, but it does not feel right.
Are there any fakes known?

I see a pitted coin - perhaps a ground-find that had been cleaned - but otherwise it looks genuine to me.

Ottoman coins are faked all the time; usually gold coins, but sometimes silver ones too. Many such fakes are amde for jewellery purposes and are found with holes in them, for wearing. I can;t say I've heard of problems with numeorus fakes of this particular series.

Sap,
Thanks for the reaction.
As I said, it doesn't FEEL right.
It has the feel and sound like all those chinese fake coins and medals.
The sound of silver and billon is completely different.
That is why I have some doubts
