Glare is not helping your images. Try using a diffuser to remove the glare. It can be as simple as a plastic grocery bag between the light and the coin or even bond paper or rice paper. It lets the light through with out killing the light and removes glare. But keep in mind the 1968-1972 were affected by machine damage on the devices.So if it is flat shelf like, that is what you have. A hub doubled example should be wider in overall shape on the devices.

Sorry, I'm just seeing a normal coin from the last image. The lighting maybe tricking you. If you see it at one angle, try rotating the coin a bit. It if goes away, it is the lighting affecting what you are seeing.
