ANACS Or ICG? - Coin Community Forum

sipherL New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 05/20/2014 10:47 am I'm wanting to have some coins graded but I'm not sure which grading company to use. I've decided to go with ANACS or ICG. I would use NGC or PCGS but I don't want to deal with memberships cause I won't be sending coins in all the time. I'll be sending in a few possible errors and a few normal coins. If your only reason for not going with PCGS or NGC is joining the club, perhaps you can see if your LCS could submit on your behalf. Report this Post to the Staff

The typical retail price difference between a PCGS slab and an ANACS one more than makes up for the cost differential. That said, ANACS is the only place I'll send a Morgan. If you are a member of the ANA you can submit to NGC without being a member of their society. Another reason besides the excellent magazine "The Numismatist" and their lending library to join up!
