hi

I recently purchased this roman silver coin on ebay.
seller had no information on the coin, apart from saying he found it metal detecting in Norfolk, United kingdom.

I presume it is Roman, but that's all I know, don't think it looks like a fake either, there are no stamps from reproduction companies anywhere on the coin.

I will attach pictures of the coin.

any help would be brilliant

This is a denarius of Geta as Caesar. Geta was the son of Septimius Severus and brother of Caracalla. He was Caesar from 198-211 AD. When his father died he was made joint emperor with his brother Caracalla who hated him. Carcalla had him killed in the arms of his mother in 211. The legend on this coin is P SEPT GETA CAES PONT/FELICITAS PVBLICA.
