None are atypical of the genre. If in doubt, the nondestructive verification is to determine their specific gravity.

Look like art rounds, there are no signs in the pictures that would distinguish their legitimacy or illegitimacy. If they weigh correctly and have 0.999 1 troy ounce silver written on them they're likely real.

Actually, Fusion, you're only taking a reading, if you will, from the outer layer of the bar or round. If the foul vermin, who do this lowly, reprehensible sort sort of thing for a living, made the silver plating thick enough, your kit would test .999, which just goes to demonstrate once again that beauty truly is only skin deep.

B,

The Monroe round is the only one I'd be concerned about. Despite whatever the hallmarks might seem to imply, a great many of these were being sold as silver plated. I used to collect art bars and rounds a few years ago and distinctly remember the dichotomy between the real Monroes, which were usually more proof-like, and the fake ones, which were matte. Both were marked .999 fine.

They look good to me and appear correct for the era they were made. Still see them now and then.

Well your right if I use the Block that came with it and scratched a sample onto it, 99.9% of my silver is bullion so I put the Acid directly onto my bars/rounds on the edges, like this but I do the edges

Fusion,

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination. I was actually using second-hand info when I posted that earlier response. The OP mentioned that one has to get a couple of millimeters below the surface to get a truly accurate test result. Here's the post that taught me a lot. I just ordered the micro engraver that one poster mentioned but haven't tested it yet.

Legit?
Fair question.
There is always a risk if the bar is of an unknown type.

By the way, that pose of Marilyn appeared in a 1952 edition of Playboy. It launched her career.
