Hi, I am new to this site and I have sought out the whole forum deal simply because I have this Seated dollar that I am unsure about first I have taken this to my local coin dealer I have 2 in my home town one told me he didn't like it the other said he was sure it was real and my coin buddies say that it doesn't make them warm and fuzzy when they look at it so I am completely unsure I have done my fair share of research and comparing on the coin and have found zero reasons to think it is fake it weighs right it measures correct and all but when tilted it has a funny look to it kind of green or brown looking I wasn't sure if that was just from a bad cleaning in the past or what but please if you have knowledge of Seated dollars or good fakes and or notice something I haven't please post what I may have missed thanks

For us to tell for sure, we need MUCH bigger pictures than the ones you have provided us with. That way, we can look at minute details to chevk for authenticity.
By the way, Welcome to CCF! I can probably guarantee that you will be helped in one way or another on this site.

Try doing separate pics of the obverse and the reverse and posting them individually.

You can use the free image optimizer to get the picture under 100kb. Doing separate pics for the obverse and reverse instead of a combo pic will help too.

If you have a photo editing program like Photoshop you can reduce the file size without sacrificing much photo quality. Here is my 1842 Seated dollar if you want to compare them.

my seated looks the exact same but can you please tell me the other factors of a potential counterfeit like it does not stick to a magnet it weighs 26.2 pennyweight has the same diameter of a Morgan dollar but thicker and no simple mint mistakes it is the composition of the look it has. Is this a common year for fakes in the seated series? would it weigh this as a different metal? what else could it be?

As far as authenticity goes here is a start on some of the questions people will have: 1) where did YOU obtain the coins in question? Did you buy them at a LCS, local coin show or off the internet? 2) is the metal correct and not magnetic? 3). Are the reed counts period correct?
There are some very good Chinese counterfeits out there and you have to be careful no matter where you shop. The internet is still the most dangerous shopping venue in my opinion.

I purchased this from a friend that purchased it at a coin dealer inside the local flea market paid 300 for it 4 years ago and the guy wouldn't give him a refund because he swore it was real so I don't know I am still trying to upload better pics

I don't see anything that screams this thing is fake although the photos are a bit small and blurry. I suggest you compare yours to the pictures Joe2007 posted paying close attention to the date digits in particular the number 8. The Chinese fakes usually have this digit deformed. And to CCF. I hope you have an authentic Seated dollar.
