So I just learned that I have a bunch of these Kennedy halves that have a die crack that goes all the way across the obverse. I see them being advertised on ebay as "type I" and "type II". Does anyone know the difference? Have pictures of each maybe?

I can posts pics of the type I have, but I have no idea which type it's supposed to be. The crack starts at the rim above "E", goes to the eye, then down to the chin, back to the right a bit, then out the bottom of the bust, and ends at the rim between the "1" and the "9".

Thanks for posting the pics, they are pretty good. Is the die crack continuous or does it fade out at some point?

Well, the sell on ebay for anywhere between $1-3 each. Nothing crazy. What I was trying to find out was the difference between type I and type II.

If it were just on one part of the coin, I would say no premium. But because it is rim to rim there would be a premium for this. Nice find.

I did a little research last night and came up with this a list Of due cracks for Kennedy halves 1971 and newer:
1971D - "Y" and/of "T"
1972D - Reverse from arrows to tail feathers
1972D - Reverse first letter "S" in "STATES" toward the middle of the coin
1995P - from between the 1 and 9 to bottom of bust
1996P - from neck to 1
1997P - two types? From "E", all the way across face, out the bottom of bust to between 1 and 9
1998P - same as 1995P

Can anyone add to this? Or clarify the 1997P types?
