Nickel Toning

So I have this question about a nickel I pulled from a roll. It's a 1976 proof, and looks almost yellow-ish in color. I would assume this is toning, but it's not something I've ever really seen on a nickel. I posted a picture comparing it to a 1964 proof with normal coloring. What do you guys think about this nickel?

This is a common 1st stage hue (where'd I get that?) on many nics. I dont believe it has anything to do w/the minting process. It is a popular hook where you see 5c for sale
w/"golden toning".
