Like the Subject Line asks, if you're not buying PMs now, when, or more precisely, at what price will you start seriously buying gold and silver again?

I have no number, if I like it/ want it, I buy it, you could wait many years for a PM to drop to your "Number" your either a stacker/collector or your not.

$500 for gold. $10 for silver. But not PM. Numismatic that is over priced ins because of high PM runups.

My last PM purchases for long-term buy and hold were in 2010 at around $18 & $1000. Those numbers still look quite appealing. I have bought and flipped a lot of metal on the way to the top and on the way down and did okay both ways but it sure is more fun and profitable going up!

This basically.
I'll probably say $15 for silver, because I think $10 is so ridiculously improbable that it isn't really worth considering. And I occasionally buy some silver coins anyway (but I will start buying them much more if the price does go so far down).

Price doesn't mean much to me either. I buy when I can.

may is huge for me
bought 56 oz of asw in coins ... sold 16 oz
final cost per oz is $12.5/oz

so, for me it doesn't matter where the spot is ... the lower the spot goes the better coins I can add

yesterday's addition

B,

I have that coin! Sort of. It's a China 1997 10 Yuan - Baby w/Fish, right? Our tastes in coins runs ridiculously parallel. Except mine's a non-colorized 2oz. Piedfort. It didn't come with a COA like yours, though. Bought it 5 years ago on ebay for just under $29 when silver was somewhat cheaper. I never learned how rare or valuable it might be. I haven't run across another one like it going at auction and the BIN guys who have them from time to time usually price them far beyond what they're probably worth.

$10 silver and $500 gold. I will add 15-20 $20 gold coins when they hit the prices from the early 2000's.

Can silver really go much lower if it costs more than it is worth to pull it out of the ground?

90% of new silver is a by product of other mining operations(copper, lead) so it costs nothing to get out of the ground, still there are processing costs I guess.

I will buy silver and gold when I can afford it - depends both on what the prices are and how much disposable income I have! However I would really like Canadian silver dollars to dip below $10.

ΠΆ,
all the Chinese coins come with premium which is very fat ...
the colored coin is 1/2 oz 5 yuan ... I was trying to get it for $50 delivered eventhough it is colored (the thing I hate in coins) ... Now my target was achieved - $51 delivered

There are some treasures on ebay for sure ... for $29 that 2 oz coin is a steal ... I would stack just those if I had a chance )))

P.S. even the silver is a byproduct, to make out of byproduct shiny bar it costs pretty good money.
