This one that makes yesterday's $2 bill look like child's play. Funny thing is, I've seen this bill twice now. Way back the first time I stopped at the bank I found it at, the teller showed it to me because she thought it was nice and she was going to buy it. But she never got around to it, and actually offered me the bill today months later.

Very nice 28! Even with the paper clip rust, this should be a $75-80 note.

Thanks everyone, my previous oldest bills had been 1934 series, but as the only thing older than this would be a large note, I think the only way I'd ever do better now is a lower #!

It's odd, really. If I were to post everything I found, you guys would know every single time I went to the bank, I get no less than 1-2 40% halves per lap around the banks!

Here is an idea of value http://www.uscurrencyauctions.com/$50notes.htm but with all the problems it has I would guess $55-$60. Nice find though.

I always hold onto silver certificates when I find them regardless of condition but I have never found a gold certificate. Cool!
