Hey everyone, I have been roll hunting now for just a couple of years or so (in Canada), and like most of you I am so addicted.

I started with pennies, anxiously awaiting to see a 36 dot jump out of the next roll.

I tried a whole box of dimes, however I was unlucky and got one with only 2001 and newer, so I was jaded and turned to Nickels (sadly no pennies anymore)

I was not too into the nickels as finding only a few pre 81 per roll, was not stacking fast enough, I only did about 10 rolls a month (almost nothing)

Then one day I asked for pennies at one of the big banks, and the teller actually did not automatically refuse my question. (I was intrigued) She went and had a long discussion with a superior, and came back, she said sorry I cannot sell any pennies.

This moment changed me, I decided to ask at all places, and low and behold I found one I could get pennies from. I was ecstatic. I decided to open an account to make it smoother to ask for coin rolls, and voila back to penny searching.

I am still anticipating that 1936 dot penny to pop out of the next roll, but in the mean time I will keep stacking my coppers.

I now go every week and the tellers all know me, and even call me to let me know there is interesting stuff.

I also found that if I asked nicely at my favorite bank (where I also opened an account to make roll hunting easier) and the central teller said if she had them she'd give them to me, but she only had a small handful in the cash drawer. My dream is to get a bag of them! then I can go back to looking for wheats and oldies!
