Picked up these two lots for the same reason I like coin roll hunting so much. I just can't resist a "safe" gamble. You'll notice that the descriptions are both wrong which is not uncommon with this high volume seller. Poor pictures and no details = a bit of fun for me.

About $30 USD in silver and $9 USD in clad halves for about $40 USD shipped. The halves will be coming to Disney World with me next year.

Really curious about the Barber dime, the Mercury dimes and the 64 Kennedy.

Thanks Ed.

I miss the free shipping too. I was tempted to bid on a couple of the rolls but it didn't seem worth it at $6 shipping/roll. Especially with the amount of interest/bids Asyn gets on their auctions.

I just noticed the description for the 64 half as a paperweight. I thought it was just an airtight capsule. I'll have to see what it looks like and maybe try to get it out of that acrylic. My suspicion is those pages contain PVC which will warrant an acetone soak. I'll post pictures of anything that turns out to be interesting.

That looks like it could be a good score, congrats! Definitely post pics when you get them and let us know what they're like!

As we say in my neck of the woods, "some days you're the bug; some days you're the windshield." With this deal, you're the windshield!

Coins came today and they were just what I expected. The acrylic around the 1964 Kennedy has some internal cracking but it is protecting the coin (which is Unc.) so I will leave it in there. Of the clad halves the only odd-ball was a 1991 D. The rest are all 1971, 1972, 1974, and 1976. The Barber dime is a 1898 graded G6. The Mercury dimes are: 1936, 1937, 1940, 1944, 1945 in varied condition. Roosevelt dimes are: 1946, 1948(2), 1951s, 1952s, 1961, 1963d, 1964d(2), 1964(2). Nothing special but I only had 2 Seated and a few Roosevelt before so it makes for the start of a little collection of US dimes.
