I'm curious about terms or phrases you've come up with personally when you coin roll hunt. Here are a couple me and Mr.Clack have come up with over the years. 1. we call Coin Roll Hunting, "Click Clacking". 2. when we find silver we yell out "yahtzee". 3. when you find more than one silver in a roll we say "I just got peppered". 4. If we find a whole roll of silver, which I've only done 4 times, we call it.."getting salted". those are just a few.... I would love to hear yours.

It will probably never happen again. I hope it does but the odds are against it. (All 4 rolls came from the same bank. Out of the 5 rolls of Half dollars, I got 97 silver halves. 3 were clad). I have video of it and I don't know if I'll ever have a high like that again. Somebody self rolled them and dumped them right before I got there. Talk about being at the right place at the right time

Well I think the Aussies call it "noodling", but here in Murica noodling is the act of catching catfish with your hands. I just call it roll hunting, or roll searching, and if I find something, I call it a find

Cool, just read your story. Kids are awesome. Especially when they catch onto something that you love to do. They get so excited because they know you get excited too.

I have a funny story about the time me and Mr.Clack (My friend that I click clack with) came up with the phrase "I just got peppered". I had been click clacking for about a year before I got Mr. Clack involved. I was mostly going through boxes of pennies and nickels at first. (I didn't have enough money to get halves from the bank yet). I had about 60+ silver halves in my collection at the time from asking tellers and gas store clerks if they had any halves or Ike's. He didn't want to do pennies and nickels at first, he wanted to get silver halves. His first order was $1000 in halves. He found a benny and a couple of other 40's and 90's. By that time I had enough money so we set up a buy at his bank. We bought $4000 and took them to his house.($2000 for him and $2000 for me) We start going through the boxes, him on his couch and me on the other. My first box had nothing, his first box had nothing. I went to open my second box and boy did I get excited!! I jumped up and yelled "I got a Franklin staring me in the Face!" Remember, this is his house his living room and this is all happening in front of his wife and kids. So I open it and boom I had 3 silvers in that roll!! For some reason I yelled "I just got peppered!" (because it looked like pepper with the 3 silvers sticking out among the clads). So he's looking at me like how dare you yahtzee all in my face like that. Well it didn't stop. I kept pulling out silver like no ones business. "I got peppered again!!" At this time I could feel the tension in the room. I knew I had to do something to make him be happy for me and not boot me out of his house. So I flipped him a 90 per-center and said that one is yours!! By the end of that box of $500 halves I tallied 53 silver half dollars. I gave 3 to Mr. Clack and fled the scene. Needless to say that anytime we click clacked together after that we agreed to split the silver down the middle so we wouldn't be jealous if someone got a good box and the other didn't. So anyways that is the story of how "Getting Peppered" came about. We always talked about how great it would be to "Get Salted". Well it happened to me 6 months ago in a bank parking lot, and let me tell you...I can't wait to "Get Salted" again

Click and Clack, I like it! Well Mr Click, that story made my day, thank you, (peppered)! Thank you for bringing your thread back to the forefront and thanks, Oldfordman for popping it in front of me tonight. I'll have to think on this.... The only thing that comes to mind right away, is calling the zeros on the nasty shield doubled dies, footballs, I can't remember if that was fed to me or not but like it. I'll get back with you if I think of something else, thanks again. I liked your "flop" Oldfordman, been there.
