I have never seen a grade sub MS60 with a + designation. Is that because it is a famous hoard?

I have an AU58+ in my type set; it's a Two Cent copper. I'll sell it for half of what that double eagle is going for!

The initial sales price from Amazon was much higher then the PCGS price guide value. The buyer purchased the coin for around $3,400.

Overpriced, but they will sell.
Such a waste of money

But are they still selling on Amazon? For the past few days I have searched "saddle ridge gold coins" at Amazon and the results have been 500 each time. Unless they are adding new coins as they sell, it looks like no sales since the first ones?

What this person most likely did was they bought it with the intent to resell it on the Bay.

Looks like a poor business decision But you never know, someone might crawl out from under a rock and buy it. I doubt it though. Will add it to my watch list anyway just for the grins.

These coins are going to be way overpriced due to Kagin getting his hands on them. These coins might be famous, but for the most part, the coins being sold are way, way overpriced.

LOL there's an 1856-S Eagle NGC certified AU-53 for $1,897 on Collector's Corner. Why would anyone pay AU-58 money for a lesser grade coin?
I know the hoard is famous but paying a $3300 premium for it is absurd...imo of course.

Ultimately the Saddle Ridge coins will come down on the Secondary Market. It might take a while, but I do not see them maintaining their current premium levels when comparable coins can be purchased for substantially less.
