By the way, I found the name. It's called jÄ«n zhÇ�, meaning gold paper. The Mandarin character is e‡'纸. Here it is on the English Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Joss_paper
If you understand Indonesian read the Indonesian wikipedia too, there are some things not on the English page and vice versa

Just saying, not all of them look plain like these, there are also many with full colour print with nice illustrations. Try googling "Hell bank note", there's some nice examples even though they're not as nice as the ones we usually get back home.

And in my family we don't just fold them like that before burning, we actually roll them one by one to make a closed tube shape then burn them. Different family, different tradition I guess.
