I've just got this note. Romania 200 Lei 2006. It has a small 'micro-perforation' feature that you don't see normally but when held up to a light '200' appears in the area of the poppies(?). Is this a first for a polymer note? Any other notes feature it? I tried to scan it with a back light but it didn't come out.

The topic title should read 'New seurity feature' and the correct term is 'micro-perforations'

I have a Russian P100 note with this feature, and some high-value stamps from Hong Kong with a similar thing as well. There are small holes in the paper that only stand out and form a pattern when lit, right?

Yes that's right.
I've also now read that the latest issues of the Russian 1,000 and 5,000 Rubles have micro-perforations.

Try the 50 100 and 500 Lei, they are supposed to have the microperforations, and the 200 is also suppose to have them. Swiss 200 Francs as well. Search it on the internet.
