I asked a coin guru at a coin show what he thought of this. He barely looked at it and told me it was damaged. But the problem is that it is just too "perfect". You can see that the flattening effects only the raised portions in a arc formation, and miraculously leaves everything else unscathed. What do you think?

It is post mint damage, and notice the ribbon to the right is similarly pushed in. This could have happened in a vending machine like a gum ball machine etc.

Or a counting/rolling machine. It's damage. Your guru was correct.
