I gotta tell you, you know the odds of finding something like that are anywhere from 500,000 - 1,000,000. What did you end up doing with it?

Score! It's always nice to pluck 80-year old coins out of circulation.

I grade G-6. I myself found a 1924 in F/VF at a Walmart a few months back. Maybe it's the same Walmart?

Anyway, to CCF!

I dumped a bunch in North Vancouver.
I got tired of the difficulty associated with spending nickel 50cents and dollars, so lately have been spending GeoV & VI nickels.
About once a month we take the ferry over to the big city.
In April I spent some GeoV at Wal Mart in North Van and at the Cob's Bread and Tim's at the same mall.
In May while my wife was at Lion's Gate I spent some at McNews and at Tim's on Lonsdale.
Last week we went to Hastings Park and I spent a few '51 commemorative nickels at the beer and food concessions.
Since the beginning of the year I have spent one roll of GeoV and have eight left in the commemorative roll, that's 72 coins, and only one cashier said "what the hey".
It's non likely that the OP's coin was one of mine, but you never know.
