Anyone have any luck cracking out Anacs SP70 ATB's(1/2 the price of a PCGS version), and, submitting to PCGS, hoping for a SP70 label? I know, this is an expensive gamble, AND, one MUST crack the coins out, and send in raw, for a better chance..for the coveted 2010 SP70 Hot Springs..it would be worth the expense..maybe...maybe..a "game" not for the squeamish, for sure. Gut instincts, and, hunch is ANY "leftover" 2010's on market, labled SP70 WILL have within mint standard "as made" issues(ejection scuffs, and, little dings), that would not make this feasable..figure success rate 1-in-40..or so...and, not profitable...kind answered my own question, huh.

Just wondering, why not submit the coin in the holder?

(Never tried the crossover)

Excellent question solo...POLITICS...from what I've read, from the guys that do this(with smaller denomination coins, like Morgan $1), the success rate is higher if sent in raw...there is some sort of bias against anacs, ngc slabbed sent to PCGS as crossover...not SUPPOSED to be, but, the math I've seen is there to prove it...sad, but true. I may...may..try it on 1 ATB, and, see what happens...the coin in question would have to be examined carefully prior to sending, or, just not worth the funds involved....so, need to ask the sellers....is this average for the grade, below average, or, above average, and, hope for an honest answer...or, wait to see in hand at coins shows, to determine myself(preferred).
