OcalaFlorida Pillar of the Community United States 2824 Posts	Posted 06/09/2014 01:26 am 1987-D Washington quarter Doubling in Motto the motto has doubling doesn't appear to be MD and is pretty much only in motto and other words have nothing going the same direction. but I am still unsure with quarters just started looking at them. I see what you are saying, but the die state for your coin makes it hard to tell for sure what the die looked like in the original state it was in when first created. I don't see any listings for a doubled die that year/mint. If another example is found later on then you still have your example. So the jury for me on this one is still out.
