I picked up some $2 bills at my bank earlier this week and had one from every series beginning in 1976 except for the 2013. Hopefully one will come my way soon!

I have a couple of 2013s. I save a lot of $2's from the bank and I also get quite a few from one of my jobs. Apparently, at one of the strip clubs in town, it is the cool thing to tip with $2 bills instead of singles. One of the dancers comes into the liquor store I work at and sometimes unloads them on me. At least they are getting circulated!! I don't think halves would work too well for that though...

Hello. I am new to the US forum. I am a collector of Canadian commemorative coins. However, yesterday, I took two of my nieces to Hell, MI (yes it's an actual place) and the cashier at the gift shop gave us each a $2 bill (2013 series) with "I got this $2 bill in Hell, Mi". Can anyone tell me where I ca get good currency holders to preserve them? These are actual US mint issued currency. Thanks

I built my cash register drawer with places for all of them. I don't actually keep any one dollar bills in the drawer, they are all deposited in the bank daily.

I wish that I could convince my manager (and those above him) to do the same.

I find 99+ % of my customers love getting halves and twos in change...

On occassion, I acquire some and swap them out at the store, and customers love them too!

Do you have a local coin shop? I'd check there. If you don't then I'd browse ebay.

2013? I just got 2009 for the first time yesterday. Now I don't have any room left in my currency album for a 2013 $2 stack because I have a smaller picture $20 in it just so I can remember what real money looks like as opposed to the Monopoly(tm) money they make now. Just tell me they aren't like 2003 and have both with and without A?

Guess I need to go on a spree to get more $2 bills to find what I need real quick.

Any reason this site doesn't have the 2009 or 2013 listed on the $2 page? I wouldn't have known either existed until I got them yesterday and saw this thread as well.

I found my first 2013's last week! I went to the bank and the teller asked me if I wanted her $2 bills, and in the stack there were 3 Series 2013! They all had creases but were still crisp, so I won't keep any for my collection. They also were all from Atlanta. Still glad I found them!

No the Series 2013 just has 2013, there is no A. Hopefully you can find some soon!

My local bank will order them for me in large quantities upon request.

If anyone wants them, let me know, and I can get them for you. They will likely all be from San Francisco.

I found my first two Series 2013 $2's in the lot of twos I bought from a bank in West Hartford, Connecticut today.

So far, bills for the Atlanta and Dallas FRB districts have been printed. I wonder how my two Atlanta bills managed to take less than a year to move north.

At darien lake they give the dollar coins out when you want change. The game machines accept them. The guy gave me one. But I had to ask for a bill because the coin slot was jammed. Lol

Actually I also pick up the $2 bills at one of my local bank haunts. When I don't need I put back into circulation and the rest goes into my collection until I find a keeper in better condition. I do the same for all bills $20 and below. The problem with the $50 and $100 bills is that I just can't seem to justify keeping them.

Someday it may be different, but not today.

I've always liked the $2 bills.
