Looks like a nice example of MD. I believe this is fairly common for 1968-S LMC's.

1968-1972 all three mints cents had a lot of machine damaged examples. That was the last year for the master die as it was wearing out. The devices on almost all 1968 cents had the devices touching the rim on the obverse die. There was a very nice DDR on the reverse that year. (If you have the DVD, it is on this disk.)
