This arrived this morning (batch of 8), my last delivery for some time to come.

TERMESSOS IN Oinoanda. Bronze, 1st century AD Apollo laureate head r. Rv. TERMHS-SEWN kithara. 2.67 g BMC 276, 7 (Pisidia). SNG von Aulock 4458th rare.

Note the countermark, are there any resources which could give me more information on these?

It is a fly or a wasp or similar. It is what attracted me to the lot that it came in. The fact that the coin is rare is a bonus. Having said that, if a rare coin has a countermark, does it detract from the value? Personally, I think it lovely. At £7.37 per coin including shipping, I don't mind either way!

I wonder if the countermark is from Ephesus.

Because the bee was a common symbol of Ephesus. It was on most of their coins.
