2011-P Lincoln Shield Cent

Help With 2011-P Lincoln Shield cent Doubling? Any input, suggestions, comment welcome.

Compared to the rest of the roll of 2011-P this one looked different and appeared to have doubling. But I am not good at these shield cents

I only had my usb microscope so no full coin photos till my kids get back with my other camera.

Way too much glare. What brand and model are you using? Can you dim the light or block off some of the LED's?My usb microscope takes full coin pics,Celestron 44302.

There is a double lighting issue. Glare and too much light are not our friends. The overall size of the devices look normal in size.

same Celestron 44302 John1 yeah my clear cd cover piece that was dimming light I replaces with a frosted one with tape. it was a multiple lighting source issue all the coins look the same now.. only a few has die scratches and diechips etc it was a mirage... I think combined with the lighting that tricked me into thinking something was there.

I have a few tips for you if you want them. It does take full coin pics. What I had to do with the lighting was to put caps over all but one bulb. I used caps off of peg board hooks that I got from a dollar store. I had to cut mine down a bit to fit the bulbs and you may have to shim them to fit tight. I also used a black marker on them because they were white. On the one bulb I did not cap I put a filter over it using an eye glass cleaning cloth. Then I use a hand held LED flashlight to light the coin. I also use a greeting card to block room light from getting in the shot. I also recommend making ramps at different angles using 2x2's. Then practice practice practice.

It looks like there MIGHT be notching on the 1's but it could be from the glare of the lighting as well.

I can see what your saying.

Cant tell if it's notching or not.

The shields are so new and in my opinion lack any, umm, substance for the lack of a better word that I just keep putting them in plastic coffee cans until some more info comes out on them.

Up to 6 8oz jars of them.
