Recently picked up an 1835 Classic Head Half Cent. Really nice details on the coin, has definitely had an older cleaning at some point. Neat Cud on the reverse around the 5 o'clock position. Any thoughts on grade and variety? I thought it was a pretty interesting coin.

Actually I think the coin obv and rev were both cleaned at some point in its life however the back is more toned and the picture might not be showing that very well. It's actually quite nice in hand. It appears to be a small date, anyone confirm that for me?

VF35 obviously cleaned. Wouldn't hurt to use some verdicare on her to remove the grime

Small date? 1835 business strikes were all that size. If I'm not mistaken both Cohen 1 and 2 shared the same obverse die.

VF details, cleaned.
Still a nice coin.
Although discoloration from contaminants is present the patina of these areas looks to be original to the coin, IMHO. Nice portrait!
