This afternoon I saw something circular that's white outside and yellow inside in the middle of a not very busy road so being the curious person I am, I walked over to investigate (wouldn't do that on a busy road though), and I saw the Queen looking up at me! I picked it up and saved her from being run over more

I love finding road coins, free money One of my friends even says I have a thing for finding money. I just have to wonder where this one came from, I've only picked up 1-cent coins before. I mean, if I drop any money, I will definitely pick it up instead of just leaving it.

I found 2 cents or 1 cent 1 penny (you can't really see what the second one is) 2 days ago, I guess the luck hasn't worn off yet since the 48 hours hadn't passed.

So let's see what everyone recently picked up... from the street!

I recently went on a short trip to Toronto and what did I find on the ground in Chinatown but this!

Lucky me - this thing is worth somewhere around $3, the value of one subway fare. Edmonton has a less interesting "Downtown Dollar" that can theoretically be used for fare, but nobody wants them. But in Toronto everything needs tokens.

For a token it's very secure - it's bimetallic and the edge has segmented reeding. Quite sophisticated for something smaller than a dime.

Found a 1936 Mercury dime a couple years back.

In misc. circulation coins I've found on the ground this past year, they total about $5 or so.

Great finds! One ride on the TTC costs $3 with cash, so I reckon a token costs the same. I've seen them before, and they are very small but yes, very secure.

Congrats on the silvers, I feel like there's silver somewhere out there just waiting for me to find it !
