I am very sorry to say that this is the like 4th time I got coins back from an auction in the past years. They say the coins are to normal for the auction?
And this is really it in there last auctions they posted coins with an value below 25 euro's. If you look at mine below. These coins are getting sold above 50 euro's easily. It is like they don't even take the time to inspect the coins if they aint gold or huge silver pieces.
I don't know if more off you are used to this? Even I did send the full determination explenations to save them time. better can sell them myself I think if they aint 20.000 euro's worth. This is allowed right to post?

Here some of the coins. Maybe nice to see aswell.
Penang 1810 (looks VF- to me)
Zanzibar paisa 1882 (EF or better to me)
2 stuber ost friesland Very rare type (VF to me)
Some germany error strike coins

It's OK to post these pieces, but since you already know what they all are, I'll move this thread from ID Required to the general World Coin section once I'm done posting this.

The German off-centre is hard to value, mainly because of the rust. I'd also need to know how common such off-centre strikes were in this series. It was wartime and Germany was losing; I expect quality control would have slipped. Personally, I wouldn't pay more than 10 euro for it, but I'm not an error collector.

The East Friesland 2 stuber is a scarce piece from a hard-to-find state. It's well worn but I'd certainly think this one was worth over 25 euro.

Perhaps it is just an optical illusion caused by your scanner, but the Austrian coin appears to be damaged on the reverse rim; if it is damaged, then this piece is really only worth bullion.

The Hungarian denar is also probably worth around 25 euro, I would have thought. I've certainly paid a similar price for similar coins.

The Penang piece is indeed a scarce piece but is also badly damaged on the rim, which makes it difficult to value as many collectors will be put off by it.

The Zanzibar pysa is also pretty cheap; it's not EF, certainly not with that green stain on it. I would expect around 10 euro?
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

Hello Sap,
Thank you!
I was looking for that section. But couldnt find it in first place. So that is why I posted it here. About the Coins:
The edge of the penang is higher the the coin. That is why it looks strange. (don't know how to explain it in english) The edge is thicker then the coin...

About the Zanzibar it looks EF to me? Is it not just shiney because of the quality? I have comparing pieces..

The Edge is lettering on the 500 schilling. That is why it probably looks damaged on the edge.

From the 2 stuber 1823 B ost friesisch I have auctios results off between 100-300 euro's in VF en EF quality. It is an copper silver aloy coin so that explains the braun stain.

The off center strikes you see in MASHOP.DE for 50-75 euro. In this kind of off strike.

It is still hard but if you look at for example ebay on these coins. At least the penang in this quality is over de 100 dollars. The 2 stuber can't find it. The shilling 40-50 euro's. zanzibar if you are right in the quality then it aint worth much. The offstrikes aswell alround 50-75 euro's. The 1548 KB is more scarce because of the kremnitz mint. then with no KB.

It is still hard though but this are just a few of the lot pieces.

Regards,
Vincent
