i posted these 2 on here a few weeks ago.i was asked to have them checked to see if they are gold or plated
they are gold,
had them looked at at a coin/gun pawn shop in natchez
he wanted to give me %80.00 each coin.

I would grade AU-55 and XF-45. In case you're thinking about it, don't sell them for that price... You could get $150 each for these (More if they're more valuable dates).

He is about right on with his offer.
They have just under $60 worth of gold in them.
They are worth, according to Krause, about 120-125 in VF
Rest in Peace

Why does your title say "2 Franc coins." A typo I believe.

I just had a look at these pics.
The first two coins can't possibly belong together.
1859 the emperors head was still bare and the privy mark (cross left of BARRE) was only used at Strasbourg, mint mark BB.
If there is no mix up of the pics, it is no error coin.
It is either a contemporary counterfeit either a modern fake.

Something not right there. You had them authenticated at a pawn shop? Have you weighed them?
"Dipping" is not considered cleaning...
