Hi guys...Probably a stupid question, but why is this 1995 quarter so dark on both sides compared the the quarter on the left...Thanks.

Metal detector find.Depending on the soil condition,Type of soil and length of time in the ground can turn clad black, brown,Redish even pink.The longer it's in the ground the darker the color

jasper62...That's what I was thinking, but wasn't sure...Canadian soil really plays havoc with American coins...eh..?...haha

You might want to carry this for a time in your pocket. It will look antiqued the longer you carry it. The dark background will lighten and the tops of the devices will eventually turn silver again as the coin starts to wear. You might want to take images to see the progress. But a collectable, its not.
