Hi, I wanted some opinions on whether this quarter has a dropped eagle's head on the reverse. I circled the area in the first picture and to me it looks like part of the head. The last two pictures were taken from the same distance and one was flipped to see if the heads are the same size. Thanks for the responses and here are pictures.

Just looks like it may have been a struck through. A dropper letter/device would be mirrored.

Thanks for your response coop. I'm not understanding the difference between being "struck through" and being a "dropped device". I've read on error-ref.com about this type of error and wanted to know if you are saying that it is just struck through debris and not the eagle's head. Thanks in advance for educating me.

A dropped letter/device is a struck through error. I don't believe that your coin is a dropped device. It is likely damage in my opinion.

A dropped letter strike through will be incuse, but it doesn't have to be a mirror image.

The coin in question has a small lamination or struck thru, it is not a dropped letter.
