Holy toledo! Well, I have mixed feelings about the photo. It shows very nice details, with an even light source...but its a bit too radiant imho....Given that we are looking at full luster, and not just a well done polish job....there is no way this coin could grade below 65. I would guess 66. As you know, a coin of this caliber would be quite rare.

I think you should take additional photos though with varying light sources/angles....and that will help us determine for sure that the ultra radiant surfaces are in fact the real deal, and not manipulated.

impossible to judge on scans. Cam pics are better for this coin.

Those aren't scans. Aleroe is one of the better photographers posting at CCF, using high-end equipment. I think these images suffer slightly from allowing too much in-camera processing rather than shooting as neutrally as possible and doing everything else in post; that's the source of the somewhat "overcooked" look.

Doesn't inhibit the stunning appeal of this beauty. I agree with the suggestion of alternate images, only because I do not wish to grade gold at this level based on one single pair shot under one condition.

My initial guess it MS-65/66. What a wonderful-looking coin!

65 based on photo (which might have softened the details a bit due to lighting); but otherwise looks like a nice photo
