I have inherited an 8 1/2 lb bag of tokens and foreign coins that I have no interest in. I'd like to sell/trade the entire lot without having to go through and separate coins from tokens and separate coins from different countries.

Would it probably be best just to dump out the bag, snap a pic and list the whole thing on ebay describing it as a grab bag or should I take the time to sort it all out?

Lots of Canadian and Bahamian coins as well as coins from many other countries, no silver. Tokens are from casinos and other famous places.

Rick

Depends on the contents of the lot, if it's lots of current/modern stuff it would be best to sell based off of the weight, if it's earlier stuff it may be worth the time to sort, but if it's common/modern stuff you will overall more than likely do better as a single bulk lot...

I'd bust it into smaller lots, & offer some of it here 1st, just to get a "feel"
of interest.

Are you absolutely certain there is no silver in it?

I don't think the Bahamas had much silver coinage but you gotta remember Canada had silver up to 1968 on dimes and quarters. As for Casino tokens they may still be worth face value, maybe check out on-line sites for the casinos they are from and see if you can cash them in through the mail, or run a Craig's List add to see if anyone locally would be interested in them.

I'd suggest dumping it all out and do a quick sort while you are packaging it into 1-2 pound, or even larger lots.
